Chief Operating Officer, Desert Regional Medical Center
Jeff Patterson, the chief operating officer for Desert Regional Medical Center, is a busy man.
He manages the day-to-day operations of the hospital, serves on the board of United Way of the Desert, and volunteers at Hanson House.
“My passion is hospital operations,” says Patterson, who moved to the desert a year ago from Dallas.
“However, I race home each night to spend time with my family [wife Katie and 4-year-old daughter Avery]," he says."I love to spend time with them going to the children’s museum and The Living Desert or just swimming in the pool.”
Finding creative solutions to healthcare, from access to expanding local services, is Patterson’s biggest challenge and one that hits close to home.
“My daughter has health issues,” he says, “and I am happy that we are able to take care of most of them here. The fun part is knowing that I am bringing health services here that will still be tangible 30 years after I’m gone.”
