Easter is now celebrated on the Sunday following the first full moon of spring. This year, it falls on the day after tomorrow.The celebration commemorates the resurrection of Jesus, after his crucifixion, but many other customs have become connected to this holiday. For example: Easter bunnies, hot cross buns, Easter bells, passion plays, Easter parades, egg hunts, Easter bonnets, dyeing eggs, Easter lilies, Easter lamb, etc.
The first Easter baskets were made to look like bird's nests.
In Hungary, a young guy is supposed to pour perfume on the head of a girl, thus convincing her to becoming his sweetheart. Smooooooooth.
Poland has a similar custom: Dyngus.
The White House celebrates Easter with an Egg Roll.
That reminds me. It's time to order takeout. Moo Goo Gai Pan.
