Tonight: At 7pm, the Joslyn Players present Lettice & Lovage, a comedy by Peter Shaffer (who also wrote "Amadeus" and "Equus"). It won 2 Tony Awards and played on Broadway for 286 performances, but I don't really know what that means...Friday: White Party '06 kicks off with The Inferno at the Wyndham Hotel, 9pm. Get ready to observe Good Friday with the time-honored tradition of dancing your booty off.
Saturday morning: The Palm Springs Firemen's Association hosts an Easter Egg Hunt for kids aged 1-9, starting promptly at 9am in Ruth Hardy Park. Inside scoop: arrive early, 3,000 eggs go fast. The Easter Bunny will be on hand for pictures, too. There's nothing more fun than a fireman wearing floppy ears...
Saturday afternoon: Open forum poetry reading at Dezart Studio, 5-7pm. I once worked in a student coffeehouse named Odes, Limericks & Doggerel. You think I'm joking.
Saturday evening: At 8pm, the Palm Canyon Theatre presents "Stepping Out," a comedy that was made into a 1991 film with Liza Minnelli, after opening on Broadway in 1986. 73 performances. I still don't know what that means, but it's fun to look up stuff at IBDB. It's even more fun saying "IBDB" out loud. Go ahead, try it. You know you want to.
Sunday: Easter Sunrise Service at the Top of the Tram. First car up: 5am. FIVE AY EM?! Maybe I'll sleep in, and catch the 5:15...
