MILTON JONES AND PALM SPRINGS LIFE HONORED BY PALM SPRINGS MAYOR STEVE POUGNET

At a Palm Springs City Council ceremony on April 16, 2008, Milton Jones was honored by the city for the 50th anniversary of Palm Springs Life. The city proclaimed April 2008 as Palm Springs Life Month, and Jones was presented with a proclamation by Mayor Steve Pougnet.

Jones has pioneered city and regional magazine publishing and Palm Springs Life has become one of the finest magazines in the United States. The magazine celebrates Palm Springs' lifestyle and promotes its reputation as a tourist destination, its cultural events, institutions, architecture, amenities, and natural beauty. It has been influential in shaping the image of the desert for 50 years.

Milt Jones and Palm Springs Life magazine have received many awards over the years, one of the highest being the CRMA (City and Regional Magazine Association) Lifetime Achievement Award that was granted to Jones in 2002.
