Desert flora: Mexican fencepost

click thumbnail to enlargeIt's not just a name. In Mexico, these cacti (Lemaireocereus marginatus) are actually planted close together and used as fenceposts.

They can grow up to 20 feet tall. [Click thumbnail photo for a larger view.]
