After seeing Jeremy Piven enthusiastically kiss the top of his Emmy during Sunday's telecast, I exclaimed, "Ouch!" When Anikó asked why, I replied, "Because those wingie-things are SHARP." Sure enough...[From the NY Daily News]
Jeremy Piven proudly suffered a self-inflicted wound at Sunday's Emmys. After paying tribute onstage to his mom and dad, the "Entourage" star tells us, "I went to kiss my Emmy and impaled myself on the chin." Piven didn't realize he'd opened a vein until he noticed that everyone he'd just kissed was smeared with blood.
[Next year, the statuettes will probably be required to carry a warning sign.]
