Top time-waster = Internet. Duh.

mousetrapIf you spend less than 1.86 hours in "desk skiving" activities each workday, you're more industrious than the average American worker. So says the research recently conducted by AOL and Salary.com. My favorite quote:

"The biggest distraction for respondents was personal Internet use. 52.0% of the 2,700 people polled cited web surfing as their #1 distraction at work. Socializing with co-workers came in second at 26.3%."

Would you care to guess what was in 4th place?

"Spacing out."

By the way, reading this posting counts very little toward your daily 1.86-hour quota. Unless you read some more, you're not really trying hard enough...
