If you look up William Asher at IMDb (the Internet Movie Database), you can't help but be impressed. As B.W. Cook wrote in the 12/99 issue of Palm Springs Life, he's The Man Who Invented the Sitcom.Yesterday evening, a group of Bill's friends joined him to celebrate his 85th birthday at the Viceroy, right here in Palm Springs. It was a night to remember:
