Ingleside Inn to hold 100th Birthday Bash for former manager, Babs Rosen

Ingleside Inn is happy to announce a special private party for a remarkable lady, Babs Rosen, who will be celebrating her 100th birthday, Saturday, August 1, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. at  Melvyn's at the Ingleside Inn in Palm Springs.  

Rosen started working as the manager of the Ingleside Inn starting in 1975, a year after the property was purchased by owner Mel Haber, and she retired in 1993.  

Haber highlighted Rosen in his recent book "Palm Springs a la Carte."

Many VIP guests, who have visited the Ingleside Inn throughout the years, even some since its beginning in the mid-70s, are braving the heat this summer to honor Rosen.

"Babs was a wonderful, yet tough lady," said Mel Haber, longtime owner of the Ingleside Inn, "she ruled the place with an iron fist."
