Mickey Thomas has spent his career singing, but he admits he’s really more of a fan of movies than music.
“I love the movie history of this area, the nostalgia you get from the old movie people who used to come out here in the ’40s, ’50s, and ’60s. I really love that culture,” Thomas says.
A desert resident for 11 years — the last 9 in Palm Desert — Thomas will headline Starship’s performance as part of the New Year’s Eve Countdown and Outdoor Block Party at the Spa Resort Casino in downtown Palm Springs.
