The Little Paradise Hotel is a newly reimagined, nine room, sleek, minimalist property nestled on the east side of Palm Springs.

Located on the site of the former Queen of Hearts Resort, the brilliant orange chaise lounges, tile-edged salt water pool and large outdoor fire pit welcome you to peace and comfort with a delightful combination of fun and personalized amenities.

There are eight King bed suites, and one Queen bed suite. Each is newly decorated and includes fireplaces. Many have full kitchenettes. Special attention was given to the opulent bedding and mattresses. But that's only the beginning.

Minimalist modern with splashes of color, each room is comfort central with its own fireplace and curved screen TV.

The spacious bathrooms have large, deep, hedonistic showers with high water pressure and five different spray jets, including a waterfall. Plush robes are provided.

When you settle in to bed, you'll discover you have a curved smart 4k TV set. There are many premium movie channels along with access to Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube among others, on a cable line so the picture is perfect. There is also high speed Wi-Fi throughout the property.

Owner Victor Melkonyan is a film buff. When asked if all channels were complimentary, he says, “Of course, everything here is included in the room price, and I wanted to make sure our guests have vast and current movie choices. I always hope some may enjoy European comedies, what can I say. That's my personal fave.”

Kitchenettes come stocked with breakfast items.

The fall season at Little Paradise may find outdoor movie nights where guests will be able to view films on a large screen from their floats in the pool.

Each kitchenette is stuffed with goodies including a bottle of wine, water, sodas, juice and breakfast items like bagels and muffins so you can eat when you would like. Meals can be eaten on your front or back patio. The front patio overlooks the pool, has its own translucent white curtain for privacy along with misters and its own ceiling fan.

Trick: If you reverse the ceiling fan's direction, it will bring the mist to your patio in a gentle vortex.

Each outdoor patio comes with a personal ceiling fan and translucent curtain for privacy.

Little Paradise also prides itself on personal service. “Our guests are delighted when we do the unexpected,” Melkonyan says. “In the afternoon, we bring out smoothies and ice cream for everyone at the pool. Or other beverage and fruit options. We get many smiles. And we have more lounge chairs than guests. Everyone always knows they have a seat here at Little Paradise.”

Hotel Essentials:

• Enjoy the special red and white wine selected specifically for Little Paradise. Ask Victor why he prefers white over red.

• Float with a drink in your hand, in all of the colors of the pool at night.

• Place a chair directly in the center of the mist vortex created on your patio to cool from head to toe.

• Take a high water pressure shower, then curl up on the bed and choose a lesser-known, independent or foreign film to complete the night.

• Close your eyes in the anti-gravity swing chair as you rock back and forth. Breathe deeply. The weightlessness produces intense relaxation.
