Hotel California is a rustic 14 room, Spanish mission style boutique hotel offering a variety of rooms to suit your vacation needs.

Built in 1942, Hotel California started out as a rectangular four-room brick inn. Owners Larry and Patty Stearns used to own the Desert Riviera before buying Hotel California.

“Hotel California, with its classic bell tower, rustic Spanish setting, continues its exceptional personalized service. Our guests trust us and stay with us year after year, short and long stays. When they're happy, we're happy!” says General Manager Lucy Stearns Bruchet.

Woods, warm earth tones, and textures of each room provide the perfect complement to the surrounding green foliage.

Rooms are decorated in warm earth tones with splashes of color. Blessed with plenty of natural light, each is within easy access to the pool and gardens. Some have private patios. Some have a fully equipped kitchen. Others have two bathrooms. Some have proximity to the hot tub.

Complimentary beverages and snacks are available in your room upon check-in. One room, called the Treehouse, is a second story room which is literally built around a rubber tree. The King Romantica Suite features a tall, vaulted wood ceiling, ample King bed and proximity to the hot tub for an easy evening soak.

The King Romantica Suite is perfect for a romantic getaway.

The La Casita is a room unique to Palm Springs. Located below the Bell Tower, the most desired spot on the property, the room has a private patio, full kitchen and pantry, two queen beds, two bathrooms, and a wet bar.

The heart of the hotel's lush surroundings is a gorgeous rubber tree. Its deep, green leaves combine with banana palms, hibiscus, and aloe to create a private romantic canopy. At night, tiki torches, the outdoor fire pit and candle lit patio welcome those bringing their own wine or beer. Others may want to barbeque their meals on the outdoor gas grills on the patio or cook in the guest kitchen after using the beach cruiser bicycles to get their special ingredients from the local market. Hotel California serves hot coffee, tea and seasonal fresh fruit in the morning.

An evening drink and conversation under the tree near the fountain sounds good.

The hotel caters to adult guests looking for a tranquil, romantic getaway for short or long term. Guests can enjoy swimming and hot tub soaking at all hours.
