The Palm Springs Regional Association of Realtors will hold its annual summer fundraiser in July to benefit The Community Food Bank at The Center in Palm Springs. The event will kick off July 1 and culminate with a wrap party sponsored by Acme House Company July 26 at a location to be announced.

This is PSRAR’s 10th year working with a local food program. In previous years, the collection goal was primarily canned goods and financial donations. With this year’s event, the focus will be on financial.

A webpage titled “PSRAR Feed the Hungry” has been set up on youcaring.com. Also, donations can be made through the PSRAR website, www.psrar.org.

The Community Food Bank at The Center, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, is a flagship initiative which provides nutritional assistance to all qualified individuals without discrimination based on race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, age, religion, political persuasion, national origin, disability, and/or covered veteran status. Since 2008, they have been providing fresh produce, baked goods, meat, canned goods, dairy and more to low-income Riverside County residents.

Every Thursday evening, The Center hosts a clean, safe and accessible “pop-up grocery store” that provides free groceries for up to 275 households.
