La Maison Hotel is a beautifully decorated 13-room Mediterranean-style boutique hotel reminiscent of the Côte d'Azur in the South of France. The Palm Springs property is surrounded by walls and gates, rooms overlook the aquamarine pool, and a courtyard filled with lavender and cacti.

On-site owners Richard and Cornelia Schuster tend to the guests' every need. Before opening La Maison, they owned a four-room bed and breakfast in Canada. They also grew more than 20 different kinds of lavender. Cornelia, who offers a soft, welcoming smile, says, “It truly is in the details. That's what makes your stay at La Maison special.”

Enjoy a steamy shower among flowers, plush towels, and robes.

The entrance reveals a courtyard of plush seats, umbrellas and fountains, a cooler filled with complimentary beer and soft drinks, a theater-style popcorn machine, and a chalkboard highlighting the day's events and attractions.

The breakfast and coffee bar is made of solid wood, nice to the touch. Continental breakfast is served daily – bagels, croissants, and espresso. In the evening, gather poolside for complimentary wine and beer, beginning at 5 p.m.

An outdoor kitchen for all guests to use.

A 40 foot heated swimming pool, with heated spa, and plenty of lounge chairs with soft towels, lets you take in the sun amid a white rose garden.

Each room features French doors that bring the outdoors inside. Substantial furniture, king or queen feather beds with down duvets, imported luxury linens, a lavender sachet on every bed, all mix with today's technology of flat screens and wi-fi. Small surprises, like mini Hershey Bars in a bowl, await in each room. L'Occitane bath amenities make shower and bath time extra luxurious.

La Maison Hotel also features in-room spa massages and facials by Studio M Salon and Spa.

Finally, the outdoor guest kitchen. Fantastic BBQ, fridge, oven and griddle where the chef is the center of attention at the granite counter around a six-seat bar. All the rubs, condiments, plates, utensils are there for you to use. An herb garden nearby beckons you to cut fresh sage, thyme, rosemary, chives and lavender. Make yourself a fabulous hot breakfast. And no clean up. La Maison takes care of everything.
