VIDEO: Marina Rossi, whose family has owned the San Giuliano Hotel since 2004, describes the highlights of the downtown Palm Springs property.

Owned and operated by the Rossi family since 2004, San Giuliano Hotel remains a hideaway for contemporary Hollywood, and has hosted numerous parties during Coachella weekend.

The attentive, chic Marina Rossi manages the San Giuliano, and her vision is to “create an atmosphere that inspires classic romance and charm. These positive impressions remain in our hearts forever.”

San Giuliano contains eight haciendas and one condo located in the heart of Palm Springs. Built in 1920, the San Giuliano has changed very little from its historic roots. It's gone through several incarnations since then, including a stint as the Wigwam Hotel in the 1950s, a favorite haunt of Lucille Ball.

The hotel's intimate privacy has a solid following. “Many guests claim they would prefer to keep this little gem a secret from the rest of the world,” says Rossi. “But word is getting out…”

A private outdoor jacuzzi provides comfort under the stars.

All eight hacienda-suites are uniquely and romantically designed with rich color and textures. Each one has its own private outdoor patio with a sitting area and chiminea-style fire area. Oh, and your own private outdoor jacuzzi, too.

If a kitchenette is desired, the Velvet, Sunset, and Sunflower Haciendas offer one with a stove top burner. If more exclusivity and space are needed, the Fountain Hacienda has its own private entrance and spacious yard.

This fall the San Guiliano Hotel introduces its first condo available for rent.

The San Giuliano's first condo opens for guests in October 2015. This sleek, ultra-modern two-bedroom condo offers a full cook's kitchen, dining area, and shared access to its own pool. Located directly across the street from the hotel, it provides an attractive option for families or large parties.

The San Giuliano prides itself on excellent service, offering everything from in-room or on-patio massages, body treatments, and facials to room service. Pets are welcomed. Dogs receive treats, and doggie beds are provided on loan, as well as water and food bowls.

Comfortable shade turns to twinkling lights and candles at night.

The grounds of the San Giuliano have unobstructed views of the St. Jacinto mountains. The serene park-like setting has several shaded sitting areas. A delightful dolphin sculpture adorns one end of the hotel's pool, which features bubbling water amenities to make your afternoon float even more tranquil.
