The 6th Annual Run with Los Muertos 5K & Block Party, a unique and authentic Dia de Los Muertos evening celebration, will take place Nov. 3 in Old Town Coachella.

The evening includes a traditional day of the dead processional, live music, a craft zone, art walk, and beer garden all in typically beautiful Southern California fall weather

This art, health, and culture event draws attendees from all over the Coachella Valley and beyond, with some runners coming from as far away as Canada, Mexico, and the East Coast. Event goers can view large-scale interactive art installations, Dia de Los Muertos altars, choose from the many delicious local food vendors, have a beer, or dance at one of three live music stages.

Part of the Run with Los Muertos tradition is to dedicate your run in honor of a loved one who has passed away, hence its tagline “Who will you run for”. The first 150 to register will have the name of their honoree printed on the back of the official race T-shirt. All run pre-registered participants will receive an official race night T-shirt designed by Victor Robinson, the 2018 Run with Los Muertos Artist of the Year.

The race route is a flat and fast course, securely blocked from all traffic and well-lit from start to finish with water stations and mile markers along the way. Pre-race ceremony begins at 5 p.m., race starts at 6 p.m., and the live entertainment, beer garden, and art installations are open until midnight.
